Californian Data-center A state-of-the-art facility in the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda County), this data center provides the equipment required for constant up-time. Using enterprise grade hardware from Juniper and Cisco, the Freemont data center utilizes Juniper M20 routers installed as border routers, Cisco 6500 series switches on the distribution and aggregation layers and Cisco 3500 and 2900 series switches on the customer level. The network is fully meshed and redundant with 9 backbone providers.

Considered a Tier-1 ISP, many public and private peering relationships have been established, including the current Pacific Bell NAP and Palo Alto Internet Exchange peering points. Optimal route selection and automatic fail over are provided by the BGP4 protocol.

24 hours a day, 7 Days a week, skilled technicians man the operations center. Helping ensure high uptime and Industry-leading services, and the health of their share of the more than 80 servers - production through administrative that comprise the server network, including the highly important backup servers, and any dedicated or spare servers. These highly powerful servers consist mainly of Intel Xeon Quad Core (2.4Ghz) Machines with 4GB of ram each and 750GB worth of mirrored storage. At the core of the servers is a highly stable Debian-Based Linux Operating System controlling a Gigabit network card.

A 750-KW diesel generator is on standby, triggered by an automatic transfer switch, in the unlikely event it's required to power the advanced clustering environment.

10,000 square feet of Data Center is connected with 2 data centers (Telehouse East and Telecity HEX89) based in the London Docklands, utilizing a 10Gig Extreme Network ring. Each cabinet is given a generous 16 Amps per cabinet and N+1 redundancy at all times.

Well trained, dedicated professionals handle the maintenance of the server hardware, and the continuing functioning of the data center, which is located just 20 Miles from London.

Built during the cold war as a military bunker and fallout shelter, the Stockholm data center can with stand a near hit of a hydrogen bomb - more than 50 megatons of destructive power (about 50 million tons of TNT - 5 times the power of a nuclear bomb).

It's powered by 2 german Maybach submarine engines - capable of producing 1.5 Megawatts of power, and housed in an underground structure - 30 meters (100 feet) below Sweden's capital city, Stockholm. The network has full redundancy with both fiber and additional copper lines and 3 ways in and out of the mountain, one of the most well connected places in Northern Europe.

One of Sweden's biggest ISP's Bahnhof houses their Network Operations Center in this Data Center.
